NIBE S1155, S1156, S1255, S1256
Before you start
Please note that this guide is specifically for the NIBE S heat pump models featuring AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, and AUX4 external inputs, typically accessed by removing the front panel. If your heat pump is of a different model, find relevant guides for various models on our website. Additionally, make sure there is a power outlet within two meters of the heat pump and that the Flow is installed within range of a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Carefully follow the steps in this guide to set up the Flow correctly.
Turn off the heat pump before installation. For further information about a specific model, refer to the heat pump's installation manual. Be cautious when handling electrical equipment. If you are unsure at any step, please consult a certified electrician.
Open the Flow device by pressing both sides together and pulling up the lid.
Connect cable pairs OUT 1, OUT 2, OUT 3, and OUT 4 to GREEN TERMINALS on the Flow circuit board inputs. O1 → OUT 1 A&B O2 → OUT 2 A&B O3 → OUT 3 A&B O4 → OUT 4 A&B
Connect the USB adapter cable to the power supply input. Red to + and black to -.
Neatly route the cables behind the heat pump so they are positioned next to the AUX external input panel.
Disconnect the power for the heat pump. Then connect the Flow cables to the AUX external inputs on the heat pump.
For NIBE S1155, S1156, S1255, and S1256:
- Connect OUT1 cables to AUX1.
- Connect OUT2 cables to AUX2.
- Connect OUT3 cables to AUX3.
- Connect OUT4 cables to AUX4.
Insert the USB adapter into a wall socket to power the Flow device. Confirm the power supply by ensuring that the bottom LED indicator flashes blue.
On the heat pump display, go to service menu 7.4. Select:
- Block heating for AUX1
- Block hot water for AUX2
- Temp Lux for AUX3
- Block electrical addition for AUX4
Log in to the Perific app using your user account or installer account, then navigate to Settings → Add New Device. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Flow device to your Wi-Fi. Once setup is complete, return to the Overview to configure the Flow device. Select your heat pump model from the dropdown list.
No installer account? Go to en.perific.com/register-admin
Navigate to the info menu on the heat pump display (Menu 3.1.14) and run the Installation test from the Perific app. Make sure that Flow activates the correct block functions on the heat pump.
Attach the Velcro strap to the back of the Flow device and position it next to the heat pump.
Installation complete! Control the heat pumps function(s) from the Overview. Activate optiFlow for schedueled or price based heating hours.
